Watch out geometry, here we come! That's right.... We're shifting gears from addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and moving on to lines, angles, and shapes. That doesn't mean we won't continue to use these skills, but now be applying them in different situations.
By the end of these lessons, the students should be able to draw and identify points, lines, line segments, rays, right angles, obtuse angles, acute angles, straight angles, parallel lines, and perpendicular lines. Yep! These things have to be memorized. Don't worry, we've learned some groovy dance moves to help us remember them. Once they know what these items are, they will need to be able to identify these items in two-dimensional figures.
